MicroLift® is a purpose-built, closed-housing mechanical platform for controlled single-axis transverse bone transport. Designed to eliminate operator variability and deliver a reproducible biological stimulus for Non-Union & Pseudoarthrosis, Bone & Soft Tissue Defects, and Microvascular Regeneration (TTT) Tibial Cortex Transverse Transport for limb salvage in diabetic foot ulcer and CLTI patients.
Built on the Ilizarov tension-stress principle, MicroLift® applies controlled mechanical distraction to the tibial cortex to trigger a sustained angiogenic response — stimulating neovascularization and microcirculatory regeneration in the ischemic limb. The system connects to the tibia using half pins and functions as a unilateral external fixation construct that stabilizes the cortex while enabling gradual mechanical transport during treatment. It may be used as a standalone device or in combination with Smart Fixator® circular or hexapod frames to create hybrid constructs.
MicroLift® Standalone
- Isolated DFU / CLTI without structural deformity
- Standard TTT protocol — proximal medial tibia
- Simplified assembly and postoperative management
- Outpatient-compatible patient self-adjustment
- Shorter total treatment course
MicroLift® + Smart Fixator® Hybrid
- Charcot neuroarthropathy with instability
- Active osteomyelitis requiring staged management
- Multiplanar deformity correction concurrent with TTT
- Periprosthetic or complex long bone reconstruction
- One mechanical ecosystem — simultaneous microvascular stimulation and deformity correction
The hybrid construct enables simultaneous microvascular stimulation via MicroLift® and multiplanar deformity correction via Smart Fixator® hexapod — within the same mechanical ecosystem. Indicated when axial correction is required alongside the TTT protocol.
Design Architecture
Every mechanical element of MicroLift® is engineered to minimize operator variability and deliver a consistent, reproducible biological stimulus throughout the transport cycle.

Closed Transport Housing
Enclosed mechanical body eliminates mechanical play. Predefined linear distraction axis prevents off-axis loading and soft tissue irritation from unintended external contact.
Ratchet-Controlled Advancement
Each click delivers precisely 0.25 mm of distraction or compression. The adjustment knob automatically locks after each increment — no unintended advancement is possible.
V-Shaped Pin Configuration
Transport segment pins are placed in an angulated convergent (V-shaped) arrangement, significantly increasing pull-out resistance compared to parallel pin placement.
15mm Transport Capacity
Full therapeutic transport range within a compact device footprint. A marked transport module provides visual confirmation of total accumulated transport distance at any stage.
Patient Self-Adjustment
UP/DOWN directional markings and numeric indicators (1–4) allow patients to perform prescribed daily turns without a clinic visit. Reduces care burden; improves adherence.
Safety Clip Anti-Disengagement
A plastic safety clip engages designated grooves on the fixator body to prevent unintended disengagement of the transport module during the distraction phase.
